What the extension handles

When you click the toolbar icon, the extension captures an image of the tab you are viewing. You can also drag, paste, or choose an image yourself. That image is held in your browser's local storage only long enough to hand it to the editor, and is then deleted. Your last-used editor settings — frame, background, padding, export size — are also stored locally so the tool opens where you left it.

What leaves your device

Nothing.

• The extension makes no network requests of any kind.
• Captured images are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared.
• There is no analytics, telemetry, tracking, or crash reporting.
• No personal information is collected, stored remotely, or sold.
• Exported images are saved by you, to your own computer.

Permissions, and why each is needed

• activeTab — lets the extension capture and open the editor on the tab you are currently viewing, and only after you click the icon. It grants no standing access to your browsing.
• scripting — used to open the editor as an overlay on the current page instead of a separate tab.
• storage — remembers your editor settings and briefly holds the captured image while it is passed to the editor.
• unlimitedStorage — a screenshot from a large, high-resolution display can exceed the default local storage limit.

The extension requests no host permissions, so it has no access to any site until you explicitly invoke it there.

Removing your data

All stored data is local to your browser. Uninstalling the extension removes it completely.
